Brevard Zoo is thrilled to announce the birth of a healthy female pygmy hippo calf. In honor of Dolly Parton’s passing and her legacy of joy, generosity, and sparkle, we’ve named her Dolly.
Mom and calf are bonding privately for now. We’ll share when guests can meet our newest little star. Every successful birth of this endangered species is a hopeful moment, and Dolly already has the bigger-than-life personality to match her name.
